The award-winning firm is seeking a (Bilingual) Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys and paralegals in providing administrative support, research, and follow up with clients, experts, and firm staff. Location: Denver, CO. Responsibilities Prepare draft letters, pleadings, affidavits, and subpoenas. Review medical records and other confidential information. File documents with courts or other agencies. Communicate with clients, attorneys, and experts. Schedule meetings with clients, attorneys, and experts. Follow up and drive the legal document process to ensure timeliness. Follow up and drive the value tab processes to ensure accuracy. Negotiate balances with medical providers and lien holders. Respond to emails and phone calls, contact opposing attorney offices, and inform the team of deadlines. Order medical and billing records and file them. Obtain documents from various agencies and locations. Deliver or pick up documents to and from various locations. Update information within our case management software. Spanish translation and interpreting during phone calls and meetings. Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Experience using legal software, case management, and docketing programs. Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational, follow-up, detail-oriented, and communication skills. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred. Punctual and able to be on site in the office. Education And Experience An associate degree, some college, or related experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is required. 1-2 years of prior experience in a personal injury law firm as a secretary or administrative assistant is preferred, or, if entry-level, 3-5 years of experience with high-volume administrative work necessitating organization and following up on tasks. Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer in an office. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Compensation Package Hourly Rate: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
